1. From Budapest Airport Terminal 2, first you have to go to the metro station called Kőbánya Kispest directly by the airport bus no. 200E (it takes about 20 minutes). You need to buy a single ticket* at a vending machine (or at the post office or newsagent (Relay) at the airport (350 HUF). You can also buy a ticket at the bus driver (450 HUF). From there you can travel to Árpád híd by metro (line no. 3, in the direction of Újpest Központ, it takes about 25 minutes). You will need another single ticket. Árpád híd is a bus station, there you can take a direct bus to campus in the direction of the city of Esztergom (you should be able to find the bus at Bay 2.) The bus stop where you need to get off is called Pázmány Péter Egyetem, the trip takes about 45 minutes.  As there is construction work going on this year, these buses replace trains**, so you can see different letters on the replacement buses such as E, S, P. (Departure every 15 minutes on weekdays). The tickets are available in the station building in the railway ticket office (Vasúti Pénztár) opposite to the entrace (about 500 HUF).

Alternatively, VOLÁN buses*** run from the Árpád híd bus station to the campus too. The bus no. 800 departs every 30 minutes in the direction of the city of Esztergom. The bus stop where you need to get off is called Pázmány Péter Egyetem, the trip takes about 45 minutes.. Tickets for these buses are available at vending machines or in the bus ticket office in the station building.

Price: 350 HUF

Valid for one uninterrupted trip without change on bus, tram, trolleybus, cogwheel railway services on the whole length of the lines and on HÉV suburban railway within the administrative boundaries of Budapest. During the time of validity you can change lines within the metro and underground network (metro lines 1, 2 or 3). It does not entitle you for interruption of the trip or a return trip. On the metro lines the ticket has to be validated before starting your trip and on other vehicles immediately after boarding or after the vehicle has started. You can use them for 60 minutes after stamping, on the night service for 110 minutes. The ticket has to be presented and handed over for ticket inspector’s request. It is not returnable.

Tickets and passes can be purchased from vending machines at the stops/subway stations, or at the entrance of the subway at most subway stations of lines 2 and 3. Tickets (but not passes) are sold at many (but not all) newsagents kiosks too.

For those who prefer the easy (but pricey) way:

If you call your cab by phone, then from Árpád híd, Taxi4 takes you to the campus for about 25-30 euros (outside morning and late afternoon peak hours). Főtaxi does the same for 30-35 euros. Taxi4 (again, outside the peak hours) takes you from airport (Terminal 2) directly to the campus for about 40 euros.
